ALTA HOME Garages & More, what can I say..."AMAZING SERVICE", PROMPT and PROFESSIONAL!! The first call to Derrick (Sales Manager) and it was "GAME-ON"!! Within a couple of days Derrick was at our home in Cochrane and we had our quote in place and the "PRICE" incredibly affordable compared to a few of the other garage builders, there was no comparison to any other builders that we got quotes from. 2 days following the quote and the final "YES" from Russ and Kerri and the Utility Locations were underway, ALTA Home had the Permits processed, 4 days later the materials were delivered to our property, on Monday, and the framers were framing Tuesday! They stuck strictly to the project schedule—and in some cases, even delivered ahead of what was promised.​What really sets them apart is their after-care. Every time I’ve reached out to Ross with a question, he has been polite and ensured any minor issues were resolved immediately. Most recently, I contacted Stan about an issue with my 240V EV outlet. He had an electrician on-site the very next day to inspect and fix it. It is rare to find a contractor this dedicated to their work even after the project is finished. We had ALTA HOME Garages build a custom 24x24 garage for us and the whole project turned out really well. It wasn’t a simple build since it required a retaining wall and a development permit with height relaxation from the city so we could add a mezzanine loft. They handled the drawings and multiple engineering for the application, and it all got approved without issues.The mezzanine loft area is about 14x24 and is a useful space. One of the coolest parts is the stair system , it lifts out of the way with a pulley setup so our motorcycle can still park underneath, and then drops down when we need access. There is also a winch system to lift items up to the loft which we use a lot more than we expected.The garage is fully insulated and drywalled with an engineered foundation, and it includes a Calcana Thermo gas heater, ceiling fan, double man door, and a deck with railing.Overall, we are really happy with how it turned out. Alta Home was easy to work with and helped figure out some creative solutions to make the space work the way we wanted.

Completed an oversized double garage with hardy board and deck with Alta home the whole process was great, and the finished job is top quality 100% would recommend.

5/5 for most aspects of the project, with only minor points deducted for a few unfinished items and some follow-up required near the end as the team transitioned to new projects. My mostly finished garage/man cave is beautiful, well built, and highly functional. The team was proactive in offering thoughtful suggestions on how to improve the design and, in some cases, reduce costs without compromising quality. I added a significant number of extras—including changes to the size of the building—and they were accommodating throughout the process. There are a small number of remaining interior and exterior items that still need to be completed, which I’ve been assured will be addressed in the spring. One note for future clients: be sure to include yard cleanup, rock and gravel removal from the lawn, and returning the property to grade in your project discussions. Clarifying this upfront can help avoid additional cleanup work after construction. Overall, I would absolutely recommend these guys for your next project and am very happy with the finished space. We had a wonderful experience working with Alta Homes on our 3 car garage. They listened to all my requests and worked with me to ensure that I got everything I wanted in the price range I needed. Alta Homes does quality work, and the structure itself is above satisfactory. From the concrete work to the additional attic space package, the craftsmanship was excellent. The project was completed in a timely manner with no delays, and we were able to have the garage built before winter, which we appreciated. Overall, our experience with Alta Homes was good. However, communication between Alta Homes and us as homeowners needed improvement. There were times when our expectations were not fully understood, so it is important to be very clear and to have everything in writing. We did encounter some issues, including electrical work that we did not request and were initially asked to pay for. We had opted out of a garage heater during the build, but after insulating and drywalling, we experienced humidity issues and ultimately needed to install one. This situation could likely have been avoided with better communication, as we received different information from three separate representatives. Despite a few hiccups along the way, customer service was responsive and worked quickly to resolve issues in a fair manner. Summary: • Quality of work: Excellent • Timeline: Satisfactory • Communication: Needs improvement • Customer service & resolution: Excellent Would we recommend Alta Homes? I’ve used Alta Home before for building my garage, deck, and a custom gazebo always a great experience. So when I had hail damage that required full exterior replacements, I went to message them again. They responded much faster than the insurance ssigned contractors and gave me a better price too. They also upgraded the shingles to Class 4 impact-resistant ones on both my house and garage. Once again, I couldn’t be happier with the results. Top-quality work and service I definitely recommend them.
